Iconic video for the Plant
Beginning of the fall was marked with a large-scale video project completion. Huge amount of equipment, the most complicated filming process, and the magic of post-production - and voila! We made an iconic film that even Timur Bekmambetov would envy
From May to September 2014 MSG team developed and produced an iconic film for Hyundai Plant.
The main task set by our client was to create a video that demonstrated the immensity of production, the company social orientation and to increase the loyalty of the target audience (St. Petersburg) to the brand and its products. Additionally, we had an updated Hyundai Solaris to advertise.
The project took five months from May to September.
The whole scope of work was divided into three stages: preparatory stage, filming stage and post-production. The preparatory stage passed really quickly: we developed and confirmed the script, selected actors, created a photo script, found locations.
Due to the large number of locations the filming stage lasted for two days. First filming day took place on the Hyundai plant with our team working non-stop. We filmed absolutely each and every stage of Hyundai Solaris restyled cars production. We managed to visit all production facilities and create interesting, fascinating photo shots with the help of highly complicated technical equipment. Tired yet happy with the result our team left the plant long after midnight.
During the second day the shooting team had to visit three venues: Hyundai showroom, the plant and the boy's room. It is interesting that we used a quadcopter for large-scale air shooting of the plant. Thanks to expert piloting we got great dynamic images. When it came to filming in the boy's room (this is where the video story begins) we had to use all our skills to fit twelve men from the crew into 20 square meters and even stretch the rails with a trolley for smooth moving.
We shocked the neighbors from the upper (second) floor with a green screen fixed at the level of their windows, which we needed to create computer graphics outside the child’s room.
Once all necessary materials were filmed, our post-production experts proceeded to business. Assembling, color correction and 3D graphics development for a number of movie scenes were among the tasks they had to resolve.
