Two Cultures Night
– Europe by the side of Neva River
Grand-event in New Holland dedicated to SPIEF 2014

Grand-event in «New Holland» dedicated to SPIEF 2014

What did Europe do by the side of Neva River?
— Just relaxing during the Two Cultures Night accompanied by jazz. This is the exact style we have chosen for the Grand Event for high-level guests of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
MSG specialists had double responsibility due to the high-level guests status. We took care of conception development, scenario preparation, creative zone branding, placing mirror art-objects, scene and video screen setup, logistics, booklet preparation. All this together with jazz, performances and tasting reception contributed to a unique balanced and relaxing atmosphere.

Event branding

We have designed event name and identity. Printing materials were prepared on the basis of the corporate style. We have prepared the venue to receive 1500 guests. Eight tents set up for buffet lines, 300 summer relaxing chairs placed around the meadow, one video screen assembled. One scene set up and one island branded. All art-objects were set according to an exact artistic order – European sights, highlighting an intercultural aspect of the night.
We conducted musician sound checks during the venue set up on the day of the event: Nikolai Noskov, Terem Quartet, Zap Mama (Belgium), and Jazzanova (Germany). We opened the doors to welcome our guests exactly at 7 PM. Best St. Petersburg street theatres’ artists were greeting them: «Mr Pejo`s Wandering Dolls», Non-Stop and mimes of the So-Tvorenie theatre. The farther in, the deeper: tasting reception, theatrized performances, and certainly – music. The New Holland was more than a Window to Europe – the dream of Peter the Great - but a Window to Russia that the organizers kept open for their guests till 11 PM.
