On October 31, 2018, ALROSA started commercial diamond mining at the Verkhne-Munskoe deposit.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov took part in the ceremony of launching the deposit via teleconference. The first industrial explosion was launched at the site by the head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aysen Nikolaev and ALROSA CEO Sergei Ivanov.
It is pleasant to realize that our agency has become a part of this important project for Russia. In the shortest possible time, we have developed the design of the installation with glowing at the press of a button and the logo of Alrosa, as well as its manufacture by order of Alrosa.
With the push of a button by Sergei Ivanov and Aisen Nikolaev that the Verkhne-Munskoye deposit is considered to have been launched, and it will work for more than 20 years, supporting the company's stable diamond mining and providing employment to local residents.
